Adrigole is the ideal base for discovering the magnificent sights of west cork and co. Kerry. pubs, shops and the post office are 1km, with the nearest large shopping center only a half hour by car. The house is adjacent to a small road that leads to the seaside, approximately ½ km. castletown bere, allihies, glengarriff, kenmare, killarney and bantry are all close by with restaurants to appeal to every palate but as you can imagine fish is the specialty dish and is guaranteed to be fresh from the local harbour. We are anxiously awaiting the opening of adrigoles first restaurant (summer 2004) and are assured that it will indeed be a culinary experience to be remembered. nearby is the tim healy pass road which is a scenic mountain route cutting through the caha mountain range into co. Kerry. there is much to choose from around the locality to suit every personality. Whether it is a quiet uninterrupted vacation that you seek or a fun packed break away with family or friends this is the ideal base.

Adrigole, the gateway to the ring of beara, which commences shortly after leaving glengarriff, is a beautiful, scattered village rich in history and natural scenery. . The adrigole coastline is varied, from a combination of rocky cliffs and outcrops to the shallow, peaceful inlet of adrigole harbour. The natural surroundings of adrigole make it a haven for hill walking, or cycling, along the small roads that hug the sides of the mountains. There is also a sailing center based here.
